Composite Subframing and How It Benefits Building Envelope Design - 1 LU/HSW

Thursday, November 19, 2020 | 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time

Presented by: SMARTci- Advanced Architectural Products

AIA credits and certificates for this webinar will be issued by the presenting vendor.

This course will introduce you to the latest standards, requirements, benefits, and approaches to continuous insulation systems. We will review how non-conductive composite subframing systems can benefit the performance and resiliency of building envelope construction while contributing to the health, safety and welfare of project participants.

Learning Objectives:

  • Relay how continuous insulation benefits modern building envelope design and construction.
  • Identify potential issues inherent to modern envelope design using conductive materials.
  • Identify how wall systems are constructed to make up an integrated envelope, and how the selection of systems can impact other adjacent systems.
  • Identify and compare different approaches to continuous insulation and how each integrate into the design of the building envelope.
