Masonry design is evolving and so are the tools and codes that shape it. Get introduced to a suite of digital and technical resources to help you design smarter, collaborate more effectively, and deliver high-performing masonry buildings. Learn how to access IMI’s detailing series and BIM for Masonry content through Nexus CMS, and discover how references like CMHA TEK Notes, FORSE Insight papers, building codes, and the latest FEA software can streamline your design process. We’ll also look at how integrating these tools early in design can reduce risk, improve constructability, and support sustainable outcomes.

Resources - A 1 (1)

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify the most current resources and digital tools available for masonry design.
  • Review key masonry building code updates and their design implications.
  • Learn how technical references such as CMHA TEK Notes and FORSE Insights support better design decisions.
  • Explore how early integration of masonry resources can improve coordination, reduce costs, and advance sustainability goals.
