Program Descriptions
Updating Your Masonry & Tile Details, Specs & Notes
When was the last time you reviewed your standard masonry or tile details? Are you using the most up-to-date codes and standards, or do you have some details and specs that were phased out decades ago? Are you using some of the most recent products correctly, like porcelain tile? Information that you and your firm provide on your plans and specs are used to estimate a project and get it constructed properly. But if drawings and specs are in conflict or don’t jive with newer code requirements, you could be creating headaches for yourself and open to possible liability. This Masonry Day event provides information on current thoughts on detailing of masonry walls, specifically movement joints, and where they should be placed. Learn about new materials and how they can be implemented on your project.
