Architectural Brick Details
Brick buildings are known for their design flexibility, allowing for a wide range of aesthetic possibilities. We'll examine architectural details common to brick masonry walls, with a focus on building code requirements for wall stability. You'll gain valuable insights into how these codes can be applied to achieve your desired architectural outcomes while maintaining structural integrity.

Masonry Cleaning: Stain Identification & Removal
Explore the various types and causes of staining common in new masonry construction. This course offers an analysis of different stains, their origins, and the factors that contribute to their development. You’ll learn best practices for cleaning and maintaining masonry surfaces and substrates, ensuring long-term durability and aesthetic appeal.

Hands-on Masonry
The SpecMix Bricklayer 500 event is an opportunity for attendees to observe and practice brick and block laying techniques. Local BAC craftworkers will showcase how to lay masonry units and experienced instructors will guide the spreading of mortar, applying mortar to the units, and installing the units into a wall. You'll get the opportunity to install both brick and block units and understand the differences in techniques needed for each.
