Building information modeling is being used in an increasing number of commercial and institutional projects, so it's critical that mason contractors understand how to embrace and benefit from BIM.  The BIM for Masonry Initiative, which is funded by an industry coalition that includes BAC and IMI, has produced a useful guide that highlights the opportunities for improved communication, safety and profitability that can result from the effective use of BIM.  The guide also includes examples of specific software that can be utilized, along with related education providers.
